ShemaStar

A combination Star of David and Seal of Solomon, otherwise known as the pentagram. The 6 points each have a word from the Shema Yisrael prayer, which is the Jewish announcement of faith in one God. Within this star is another five-pointed star which was also used by Jews in biblical times. The pentagram represents the shape of man, and also, fire, air, water, earth and spirit. The Magen David is known to have many meanings, one of which is as above (triangle pointing upwards), so below(triangle pointing downwards). Inside the pentagram is a spiral...almost a universal symbol of the life cycle.
