Heptagram

The seven pointed star, referred to as the heptagram or septagram, has been used in spiritual traditions worldwide. Traditions as varied as the Hermetic, native Keltic Underworld or faery (elven), native American, Quabbalah, Christian, Orphic, and several new age groups such as Wicca have used it in various forms under various names. It is seen to represent the seven spiritual directions, the seven planets of alchemy and ancient astrology, the seven archangels, the seven notes of the musical scale, the energies of the planet Venus, and other seven-tiered spiritual pathways. It was also used in Crowley’s work with the Golden Dawn. This would make a wonderful finger ring for mindfulness and meditation, especially for the introspective musician.
