The Japanese Phoenix pendant is a symbol of rebirth and it represents the cosmic circle of rebirth ,change,resurrection and hope.

Most tend to believe that change and entropy is their enemy but they are wrong;
as the 19 century english poet William Blake wrote:"Without contraries is no progression. Attraction and Repulsion,
Reason and Energy, Love and Hate, are necessary to Human existence. From these contraries spring what the religious call Good & Evil. Good is the passive that obeys Reason. Evil is the active springing from Energy. Good is Heaven. Evil is Hell."

When I started making this pendant I had no idea that the current disaster in Japan will happen. So when I looked at my diary and saw that the time for creating this symbol was for the middle of March 2011, just few days after the tragedy, I have decided that I will use this symbol to make a donation for the people of Japan.
