A Mandala is an Asian religious decoration composed of geometrical elements. In Tibet, monks create very complex and beautiful mandalas from colored sand. They toil for weeks and sometimes years on end to create this colored sand masterpiece. Then upon finishing, they proceed to sweep up this incredible piece of art as a gesture that reminds us of the impermanence of all material things in life. This indicates to us the futility of getting attached to objects and forms.
The Star of David appears in the Asian cultures as an expression of Sacred Geometry. This pendant is based on a Tibetan Mandala that I have seen which in its center lies the Star of David.
