Jupiter is back in Pisces for a very brief last visit.
Shortly after his ingress into Aries in mid-May, he gradually retrograded back into Pisces for a short and sweet goodbye, before leaving the sign for another 12 years. This week he is turning direct just in time for the new Moon in Sagittarius (The second sign under his rulership). A great last opportunity to draw and capture his powerful essence.
This election features Jupiter in Pisces rising in the east. In this election, Jupiter is the ruler of both the Sun and the Moon (and Venus and Mercury) which are situated in Sagittarius. making him the ultimate ruler/dispositor of the chart (Oikodespotes and Kurios in the Hellenistic terminology). Additionally, the newly born Moon will be conjunct with Venus in Sagittarius! which is an extra bonus for this election. Both lights (in Sagittarius) fall in the 9th house, which is the classical house bearing Sagittarian/Jupiterian significations, such as higher knowledge and adventurous travel. Finally, the election is on Jupiter's day and hour (the hour changes slightly before the end of the election window).
The meaning of Jupiter in Pisces:
For the ancients, Jupiter was considered ‘The Great Benefic’, the most gracious and bountiful of all the planets. Jupiter signifies the principle of augmentation, generating prolific powers of growth, in mind, body and soul. He is the bringer of abundance, support and powerful protection, and guides the mind to the realms of higher wisdom and understanding.
Pisces is traditionally ruled by Jupiter (together with Sagittarius) and when visiting this sign, once every twelve years, he amplifies and expands his feminine/nocturnal aspect, awakening emotional inspiration, higher intuition, creativity and imagination, spiritual connection, faith and devotion.
About the Bracelet:
The center motif is the ancient Egyptian symbol of Pisces. At the center of the symbol, there is a small container which is filled with materials from the three natural kingdoms which are traditionally ruled by Jupiter, according to ancient texts: Herbs - sage and honeysuckle
Metal - a piece of pure gold*
Mineral/stone - amethyst
The symbols on the sides of the bracelet are the magical seal of Jupiter and the sigil of the ‘intelligence’ of Jupiter.
*As in the alchemical tradition, part of the astral magic tradition associates the metal Tin to Jupiter, but many authors prefer gold (the solar metal), which accentuates the solar elements in Jupiter, and his ‘royal’ life-giving powers.
More on Jupiter:
The virtues of Jupiter are praised throughout the history of astrology - He is considered to have a very potent positive life generating energy, more temperate than the solar and lunar energy, and in many ways sharing in both as he is considered to be the only planet that mixes heat (solar) and moist (lunar); both qualities necessary for life.
When Jupiter is working well, he is powerful, life-affirming and prolific and radiates a balancing and healing energy
. He denotes the feeling and circumstances of support, integration, protection and expansion at all levels. Therefore, he is the planet of success and abundance, giving an optimistic sense of meaning and hope
, and an inner (and outer) drive for fulfillment, happiness, and exciting adventures. He is also connected with the higher capabilities of the mind, spiritual capacities, higher knowledge, and faith.
