Hathor Headdress talisman

Submitted by: Neil Evans
Description:
I have created Hathor’s talisman to offer protection and strength to those who wear it. Hathor was the Ancient Egyptian goddess of love, women and fertility. Her headdress was a solar disk with cow horns. The headdress also carries the protective cobra, which appeared on the royal crowns of Egypt. The stone is carnelian as this was prized among the Egyptians for its power and strength due to it symbolising the blood of life. The snake’s eyes will be Lapis as this is the stone most closely linked to the ancient Egyptians. This talisman is to be worn on a chain so as to be close to the heart.
