This is a very special version of our Spica Talismans. This time it is for the auspicious conjunction with the planet – Venus. Not only is Spica situated In the sign of Libra (24º05′ of tropical Libra) which is a Venus ruled Sign, It is also traditionally associated with it, as both carry many analogical significations.
Venus is undoubtedly the planet most suited to ‘channel’’ and ‘translate’ the brilliant light of the star Spica while magnifying the virtues which are most akin to it. Therefore this conjunction has the potential to bring about very pronounced social success, popularity, and fame, tremendous good fortune, prosperity and wealth (the famous billionaire Warren Buffett has this conjunction in his natal chart), joy and happiness, magical charisma and attractiveness.
This combination is also considered to heighten creativity and any artistic skill (writing, painting, sculpting, music, etc.) as well as spiritual intuition and philosophical interests. Spica is also considered the most protective of the fixed stars.
The Talisman was created when Venus was rising in the east and conjunct Spica in Libra. Furthermore, Venus was receiving a harmonious aspect from Mercury (sextile) and the Moon was in Taurus (another Venus-ruled sign) which is also the Moon’s Exaltation.
The talisman contains Sage and Jasmine. Sage is one of the sacred herb associated with Spica according to the ancient texts and Jasmine is another plant that is ruled by Venus. Spica is also associated with Šala the Babylonian goddess of agriculture and fertility. The image on the Talisman is a depiction of the goddess giving wheat to humans. On the back of the Talisman appears the ancient magic seal of Spica.
The Star Spica is probably one of the most famous fixed stars known for its abundant beneficial and protective powers. This star is also called Alpha Virginis, as it is the brightest star in the constellation of Virgo the maiden. Spica is a binary star, which means it is really two stars larger and hotter than the sun, together they look like a single point of (blue) light, even when looking through an average telescope.
The name Spica means “ear” as it is in the “ear of wheat” in the Virgo constellation. The association with agriculture, wheat and harvest are very old. For the Egyptians, the Virgo constellation was associated with the goddess Isis, and Spica was the bearer of harvest. As Isis is a fertile, life-creating goddess, Spica symbolized the fruits of her life energy that she bestows on nature and man. Virgo is also associated with Ceres, the Greek goddess of the harvest.
As this constellation signifies the abundance of harvest and fruitfulness of agriculture, this star is said to provide all sorts of good things, from material good, success in career and achievements, to different artistic and mental talents and powerful charisma.
